Since 1985, Studio A (where Motown's artists recorded their greatest hits) has been retrofitted into the Motown Museum by Esther Gordy Edwards. Filled with artifacts and memorabilia, the museum is one of Michigan's most popular attractions, with visitors from all over America coming to experience the pasts of some of their favorite artists. Motown is today considered an essential part of history, referred to as the Sound of Young America, and also allowed for crossover, with people everywhere admiring the wide variation of talent that has performed for the label, regardless of ethnicity, and is one of Detroit's single greatest success stories.
